Hi. I have new magsafe iphone phone and a twelve south magsafe stand. when I connect the magsafe usb to back socket of the monitor, the phone doesn't charge. Is this a flaw somewhere?
I cannot believe that the very latest mac monitor isn't capable of charging the latest iphone. Surely!!!

You’re welcome! Not unbelievable if you take into account the power requirements of the monitor + that of the connected laptop + MagSafe interference potential on the monitor’s hires display panel. Looks like good engineering to me 😁
That makes sense to a non-engineer. Thanks for clarifying. I think we get so used to certain things "just happening" we don't 'get' the electronics/engineering involved, especially if we have know knowledge or experience in those areas. Many thanks. Philip
