Is Al Dente app safe?
I got it from here:
MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6
If the computer is connected to the charger, it's not using charge cycles. Optimized battery charging will monitor charge rate. And, unlike the software you referenced above, it's built in and free.

My account name, IdrisSeabright, is taken from a female science fiction writer, for what it's worth. I find it cause fewer problems if I don't assume that I can tell gender, age or country of origin from a username.
I understand from your words that putting the charger connected to the Mac for a long time without any external applications does not affect the battery life.
Is that true sir?

Battery capacity will decline over time no matter what you do. Review the article I linked to above. Turn on optimized battery charging. Don't try to micromanage the process. Doing so won't have a significant impact on the overall battery life and will just waste your time (and money if you buy applications that purport increase the battery life).

Why do you assume I'm a man? There are people of all genders in this forum.
I want to not increase the number of battery cycles too quickly.
And install the charge rate at 80%.
Because I do not remove the laptop from the charger for a long time, sometimes more than two days.
