Someone has asked me to send an Apple code I’ve just been texted , is this correct and what can they do with it ?

There is no such (legitimate) organization as 'HSBCUKApple'

If it's from Apple, it would SAY Apple (and on recent Ones have a Verified label to assure you of that fact).

100% this is a scammer who'se set their name to HSBCUKApple to trick you into thinking it's from one or other known, trusted organizations.

If it was from HSBC, it would say HSBC

If it was from Apple, it would say Apple.

Please tell me you didn't give the caller the code. If you did, go immediately to https://appleid.apple.com/ -> Account Security and verify your known/trusted devices, phone number, and change your password.

This sounds like a scam where a user is tricking you into giving them the 2-factor authentication code to access your AppleID

If you do give it to them, they'll log into your AppleID and take over account.
