Unable to sign in netflix from apple tv 3rd generation. Advise pls

Please try updating the email address for the Netflix account, on the Netflix website.

That has helped a group of users, but recently others said to not be helped by that unfortunately.

What happens when you try to sign in? Do you get an error message? What does it say?
