Does anyone know if the 10th generation can support Apple Pencil 2nd generation?
I understand that the release references the 1st but is there anyway to accomplish it or is there a 3rd party pencil that would work with it?
I am not able to use the first generation as it slips out of my hand easily and is not comfortable to use.
The iPad10 is the only model in the iPad range that supports the first generation Apple Pencil - but requires a USB-C to Lightning Adapter in order to do so.
The iPad10 does not incorporate the magnetic/inductive charging dock that is required to both charge and pair a second generation Pencil.
Apple Pencil models are not interchangeable. An iPad that supports Apple Pencil will only support one or other version. Pencil models are not interchangeable.
The specs for the 10th gen iPad just says: Supports Apple Pencil (1st generation)
Thus it does not support the 2nd gen pencil.
SInce it supports the 1st gen pencil I would expect any third party pencil compatible with any iPad that uses the 1st gen pencil would work with the 10th gen iPad.
There are third party makers of slip over covers and grips for the Apple Pencil.
Many offer NO slip and ANTI-roll/NO roll 1st gen Apple Pencil protection.
I use one of these on my own 1st gen Apple Pencil.
