iPhone Hacked

I noticed microphone problems when I’m using FaceTime, blank screens on the phone screen occurring in which I am unable to access to use speaker phone and periodically, the word “Home” with a drop down is located on the top left of my screen. In addition, when watching a YouTube video, the phone turned off twice when the battery life was full. Is there a way to find out if someone has hacked my phone?

Hi Tywanda,

I came across your post today and would like to provide some help. From what you mentioned there may be a couple things going on. I want to put you at ease a little bit and reassure you that it is unlikely form what you described that your device is compromised.

There may be a few different things that could cause this behavior, such as damaged hardware ( for instance of the speaker issues and shut down issues. )

I would recommend as an easy first step to backup your device and try to reinstall the latest update through recovery mode. You may a need to restore the device. Steps for both options mentioned above are listed here If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

If after restoring the device you have similar issues I would recommend contacting Apple Support to have them look into other issues that may be going on.

I hope this is helpful,

Have a wonderful night!
