Charging devices in France

I have an iPhone 8 and an iPad 10.2 9th generation and will be traveling in France. I have purchased a C-type EU adaptor which has two US electrical plug ports, two USB ports and one USB-C port. Can I plug my charging cables directly into the appropriate ports in the adaptor or do I need to plug the cables into my existing power adaptor cubes and then plug the cubes into the French-compatible adaptor?
