Apple Watch 3 - Setting up + Updating

Just got an IPhone 14 pro and wanted to connect my series 3 to it. My old phone was an iPhone 11. I reset the watch so I can connect it to my 14 pro but the update can’t complete because I’m “not connected to the internet”. I’ve done EVERYTHING that has been recommended on here and nothing. Turning off my watch AND phone, making sure I have wifi AND connecting to different Wi-Fis, making sure the watch is charging AND next to my phone. I don’t know what to do now
