Flashlight battery usage for 1 hour displays 10 hours of usage

I have a brand new iPhone 13 mini running iOS 16.0.3. In battery usage I select show battery usage for one specific hour and the flashlight displays 10 hours of use for that one hour. When I go back into the battery usage and again select that one specific hour, the time of usage increases for the flashlight.  I powered off the phone for about an hour, powered back on then went to the specific hour in battery usage and the time increased again for the flashlight. This is very odd behavior. I had only used the flashlight for 1 minute. Anyone else experience this and if so were you able to pinpoint what the issue was?

You probably confused it by turning it off (not a normal thing to do)

You have also not had enough charge cycles to invoke optimised charging

My advice is

First do a Forced restart https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph8903c3ee6/ios

then

Keep it on 24/7, don't turn it off except for clearing glitches.

Charge all night every night and optimised charging will cut in after a week or so, and your battery graph will make more sense

I did a force restart and let it sit for awhile. Went back into that specific hour in battery usage and the time is still increasing for flashlight. It seems like a process is stuck. It doesn’t make sense that something in the past is still incrementing usage. I understand the optimized charging hasn’t had enough cycles yet, but I had the same issue on my iPhone 12 mini after almost 2 years of using it. I had Apple run their diagnostics on the 12 mini and no issues were found. Seems like it might be a bug in the mini series.
