Recovery of deleted text messages (on IOS 15.7)
I have an iPhone 12 pro max on IOS 15.7 and have deleted some text messages. Is there a way to recover these deleted messages if I have not backed my phone up to icloud or itunes?

I previously backed up my messages to icloud, but turned it off recently to safe space. Now 1/2 of my conversations/messages are on my phone but I am missing lots of them. When I access icloud via my phone it states that there is 7.2GB of messages but on my phone it states that I have only 1.98GB. It appears that they are in icloud but I can not figure out how to download them back to my phone. Do you have any suggestions?
If you have iCloud Messages turned on then the ones you deleted are definitely gone. If you haven't, and you believe they are in your backup, you will need to Restore your iPhone from that backup. The problem is you will lose all data added since the time/date of that backup.
