Chrome browser windows are stretched on mac

Just sat down at my computer after a few days and all of my chrome browser windows are huge and stretched across my screen. How do I get them back to normal? I tried going to settings and return to default but as expected, that just changed my theme. My window is at 100% but I think it's always on 100%, isn't it?

Generally double clicking the titlebar will solve this problem on Catalina and up. If you can't see the titlebar, hover the pointer over the upper left corner and hit the ESC key. Once you can see the controls on the upper left, hold the Option key when clicking on the green control. That resizes the window the maximum supported by the screen. You may need to drag titlebar to the right until the controls on the upper left become visible.
