Iphone 14 pro max

My iphone 14 pro max heats up by the camera when i turn on pro raw and take pictures (10 pictures for example). Everything works fine, but is normal for the phone to heat up quite a bit when pro raw is enabled?

Hello UStevic,

There are situations where it's normal for your iPhone to warm up. From If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support

Your device might get warm

• You might notice that your device feels warmer when you:
• Set up your device the first time
• Restore from a backup
• Wirelessly charge your device
• Use graphics-intensive or processor-intensive apps, games, or features, including augmented-reality apps
• Stream high-quality video

These conditions are normal, and your device will return to a regular temperature when the process is complete or when you finish your activity. If your device doesn't display a temperature warning, you can keep using your device.

With that in mind, we do have some questions to help narrow this down:

  • Which exact version of iOS 16 is installed in Settings > General > About? We ask as we see that version 16.0.3 does mention a fix that includes the camera: About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support
  • When you notice your iPhone warming up, do you ever see the temperature alert?

Keep us posted.

Take care!
