Musik from another friends iPhone to my friends system

Hi

My friend needs help, he's got an older macbook air (running iTunes) connected to a DAC witch is connected to a power amplifier and he uses an iPhone 12 pro, with iTunes remote, to control things. When he's friends are coming over, they like to play music from their iPhones over his sytem, is that possible ?

Any help will be highly appreciatet, thanks

That depends on how old the Mac is that they are trying to play through.

With that said, maybe a Bluetooth receiver connected to the DAC may be an easier option.

There's also the option of using 3rd party software to emulate an Airplay receiver on an old an unsupported Mac.

Without knowing the exact model / year of Mac its hard to be any more specific.
