Has this ever been resolved?
MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 12.6
That looks like the display is not calibrated correctly to show the correct colors. Maybe too little contrast/brightness as opposed to the colors.

Don't know. Did you ever try to calibrate your screen or change the color profile in System Preferences > Displays? What is the color profile set to now?
One other question, do the tag colors look correct in the Finder sidebar?
Can you clarify? iOS 15 & iOS 16 are for iPhones. What Mac and version of macOS are you running?
I'd like to know this as well. My flag colors were like dialabrain until I upgraded to os 15. I hoped upgrading to os 16 would fix it but it hasn't. My display is fine. Changing the color profile doesn't change this.

M Apple Mail flag colors are incorrect. It is almost impossible to tell the colors apart for Red Orange and Yellow.
