Unboxing Apple TV - was I supposed to remove this?

I got my ATV a few weeks ago and just now getting around to setting it up. The first thing I noticed was a sticker on the bottom - I think it was the bottom - with a little tab and an arrow directing me to peel it off.

But when I did that, I noticed there was another sticker sandwiched between that and the device, which also came off. Here is a photo of both sides of the "peel me off" sticker:

The fact that the text is inverted strongly suggests that it was supposed to remain affixed to the device and not be pulled away. What is this? Can I throw it away? Does it contain any important information?

It appears to be a certification/compliancy/approval for imports into Thailand. www.tisi.go.th

It is not needed for any product functionality in daily use when in consumer hands.

It might be useful for border customs, if moved internationally?
