iPhone 12 camera out of focus

After updating to iOS 16, the 1x lens on my iPhone 12 camera is constantly out of focus. Restarting the phone helps for a bit, but in a seemingly random period of time (could be minutes, hours) the 1x lens turns back to unusable. Manual focus and AE/AF lock does work. The 0.5x lens is working fine.

I have tried factory resetting the phone without using a backup, the problem still occurs. An authorised technician has reviewed the phone and has said that the hardware does seem to work fine. Currently on iOS 16.0.3, the problem has not yet been fixed by Apple.
