can I turn off fast charging

can I turn off fast charging on iPhone 24 pro?

That is what I figured from what I read. Other brands can disable it. The faster a battery charges, the higher the heat, the shorter the battery life. Batteries have this issues for years, Maybe Apple did some alchemy and made the problem moot. None that I have heard of. Apple needs to add the ability to disable fast charging. There MIGHT be the occasion where I want a fast charge, but not daily. Apple does say the iPhone is capped at 20 W, no matter how high the charger can deliver.



Is anyone aware of scientific research that shows the different effects of different charge rates? Include PD, but separately as these apparently use different voltages that are negotiated between the charge and the device (phone or laptop). That begs the question, is there a difference at charging at 1 amp@ 10V vs 2 amp@5 V? Both are 10 watts, but is there a heat

difference in the phone? There is some loss in the cable and possibly connectors related to the amperage in the cable.
