Bluetooth Automation Shortcuts won’t run automatically

Apparently Apple made a change that prevents Shortcuts configured so when your iPhone connects via Bluetooth to a device to do something (like Pause music) from running automatically. Dans Tutorials talks about setting a shortcut up to Pause the music when the phone connects to your car via Bluetooth but that feature has been disabled from being able to run automatically for some unknown reason. Apple needs to fix this. It still doesn’t work in iOS 16.0.3.

This reply didn't answer my question or assist in any way. I've already been in touch with Apple Support and I think the tech may have actually learned a few things (like finding out that following automations cannot be run automatically: Arrive, Leave, Before I Commute, Email, Message, Wi-Fi, and MOST IMPORTANTLY TO MY ISSUE - Bluetooth)

The Tech asked me to submit this issue about these automations not having the option to run automatically to Apple Support (which I did) and to the various forums. I was surprised that the Apple Techs actually referred me to some 3rd party support gurus - which provided outdated and inaccurate information in this case.

So, if anyone else is frustrated with Apple in limiting their customer's use of these features please contact Apply Support so that these features can be changed in an upcoming release. This makes me wonder if an Android phone would be better now.
