iPhone 14 charger question

I just got an iPhone 14 at a local Verizon store and will be trading in my XS. The salesperson said I need to get a charging block otherwise my phone will blow. I have several old iPhone chargers with the lightning cable that I intend to use. None of them are USB-c, they’re all traditional USB chargers. Is this a problem? Do I need to get a charging block?

iPhone lightning or regular charger I just purchased a new iPhone 14 from Verizon and the sales person told me not to charge the 14 or my 13 Pro with an original iPhone charger. It should only be charged with the lightning fast charger, she stated the battery could be overcharged and damage if I charge with a regular iPhone charger. is this true?

can i charge my iphone 13 pro with an iphone 11 charger or will it damage my phone? i recently bought my phone from verizon and when purchasing the salesman told me i couldn’t use my old chargers because it would damage my phone. is this true? i like to use my phone in my car and the only way my apple car play works is with my old charger because they changed the usb type.

I don't know why the Verizon person would say that, it's totally fine to use your old non-USB-C chargers with your new iPhone 14.

Probably sales commission? Said he’d “hook me up with a bundle” that included a screen protector and charging block for $100

The only thing you won't be able to do with your old cable and power adapter if that is important to you.
