Connecting to AirPort Network Drive Using the Files App

Hi!

How would I connect my AirPort Extreme 802.11n (5th Generation) to my iPhone using the Files app. I have a 1TB drive plugged in and I use it for Time Machine on my MacBook but I also use it as a file server for other stuff that I'd also like to be able to access on my iPhone. I've heard it's not possible but I just wanted to double check here.

Thanks,

ExPort1

FWIW. I haven't tried this in a bit, but giving it a go with just using the Files app, I couldn't create a link to either my Time Capsule or AirPort Extreme's shared drive. Instead I relied on the FileBrowser app being installed on my iPhone. It then became available within the Files app and I was able to make the connection.

The issue is that the base stations only support SMB 1.0 and currently, it appears that version is not natively supported in the Files app.

Hello,

I am no expert so if this is irrelevant I apologize.
