I have a m2 mac (Base-model m2 mbp)
Using runcat for this information, while doing absolutely nothing with a few apps open (also not doing anything)
IT IS AT 69.4% (the lettering was not to refer to being mad)
While typing this, it is at 71%
Why is this?

What is "runcat"? Perhaps it's just a memory hog.
You can use Activity Monitor to determine app-specific memory usage: Check if your Mac needs more RAM in Activity Monitor - Apple Support. Post a screenshot of it instead.
i closed all the open apps other than Vivaldi, nothing changed so i am assuming it is hard-ware related and not the amount of software

Oh my gosh you are right, it is a system monitoring application from the app store i found on youtube
Then i checked activity monitor
Why is the ram usage so high?
