Is it safe to delete the old photo library?

I've been able to move some files over from one user to another thanks to the help of Old Toad’s Profile - Apple Community and now I want to know if it's safe to delete the old iPhoto Library from 2015 and I'm fairly certain the newer one, Photos Library 2, includes all of its content and newer content as well.

Is there any way to be sure?

When I try to open the older file I get the attached message.

I'm looking forward to deleting the older file but I need to be absolutely sure that the newer one will function.

If you're sure you have all of the photos and videos from the iPhoto library you can delete the old library.

However, many do what Richard.Taylor suggested and keep it for a while in case you find it has a photo that isn't in the Photos library.

If you change the extension of the migrated iPhoto library from ".migratedphotolibrary" to ".photolibrary" you can open it again with Photos for another migration.

However, you'll have to set the Finder to show the file extensions so you can edit the name:

Yes, but I wouldn't, You can buy a 100 GB flash drive for like $11. Why not copy the file there and hang on to it for awhile? You can always erase the flash drive later when you are absolutely positively sure that there's not information on there you will later want. And back be sure to back up the new file, as well!
