iPhone Alarms and Screen.

My iPhone screen will randomly just blackout and dim whenever it wants to. This happens everyday for about 30 minutes, even if my iPhone is fully charged. Further, my alarms are not making sound or going off when i have them programmed to ever single day of the week. I set my phone charging at my desk, where I have to physically get up to turn it off and none of them went off. I would like an explanation from apple because your iPhones cost at least $1,000 minimum and these are pretty simple functions of a smartphone.

Something I would have had no way of knowing. Regardless, the advice is still valid for the future.

Please do not respond unless you have any explanation as to why my iPhone screen randomly dims and blackouts out. Otherwise, your response(s) are unnecessary to me and others with the same issue. Thanks.

I was not answering your questions about the screen dimming. I was answering your concerns about your alarms which is what you gave the most information about in your original post. If you didn't want that issue addressed, you shouldn't have included it.

Your screen will dim and go dark depending on what options you've selected in Settings>Display & Brightness>Autolock:

The Genius Bar can run diagnostics on the battery. They can tell you if there is no issue with the battery. If there are no issues with the battery, the battery is not the cause of your issue. The fact that they said they don't know the cause doesn't mean they don't know what things are not the cause. It sounds as if hardware diagnostics didn't indicate anything was wrong with your phone.

Were you able to demonstrate the issue to the folks at the Genius Bar?

I meant they’re all 30 minutes apart, not 39 and I have changed them since the above photo—if you must know. Regardless, I don’t use the snooze option, so it really shouldn’t matter. Further, I shouldn’t have to endure any of this if I’m spending $1,000 plus dollars on an iPhone. Please do not respond unless you have any explanation as to why my iPhone screen randomly dims and blackouts out. Otherwise, your response(s) are unnecessary to me and others with the same issue. Thanks.

I have checked all my settings and adjusted things a few separate times since I’ve gotten this iPhone (iPhone 12 Pro Max in 2021). It happens to a few of my friends iPhones as well and nothing they do changes it either. They have been into the apple store and the Genius Bar hasn’t had an explanation. I wanted to know if it was a battery issue, a manufacturer error or something else. I figured this would be my last stop before switching smartphones because it seems apple has died along with Steve Jobs. Your condescending attitude doesn’t help, so please leave it out of the conversation, thank you.

My friends brought their phones into the Genius Bar and they couldn’t demonstrate the issue as it happened randomly. I do not live near an apple store anymore and was unsure of how I am suppose to deal with issues with my iPhone. It’s a hard thing to demonstrate because everyday it’s random.

Have you ever lowered the brightness on your screen all the way down—my screen appears that dim even though my brightness bar is all the way up, at full brightness.
