Hotspot from iPhone to iPad is extremely slow

I’m having major issues with my iPad 9th Gen (IOS 15.6). When I hotspot from my iPhone 13 Pro (IOS 15.6.1) to my iPad, the signal is in the sub mbps range (0.5 mbps). When I hotspot from my IPhone to my DELL precision 7550 laptop, the speed is around 60 mbps. What gives? I’d be happy with even 5 mbps. Why is my iPad so slow over hotspot?

Hotspot unusably slow I just switched from LG G7 to a iPhone 14. I never had any issues with using a hotspot with my android, which was 4G LTE. Now that I started using the iPhone 14 on 5G, the hotspot speeds are unusably slow. I need to be able to connect using a hot spot for work. (Main reason I upgraded phones.) The Phone’s internet is not having any issues and when I switch to an android phone I have no issues. Have others had this issue? Does anyone have a solution?

Personal HotSpot takes inordinate amount of I have a Apple iphone SE 3rd Generation. When I try to use a personal hotspot on my Mobile Phone it takes in excess of 5 minutes for the Hotspot to become visible to other devices. Sometimes even after 15 minutes the personal Hotspot is not visible to other devices. How do I fix this issue? My Personal Hotspot name is not iPhone but it is a customised value. I have reset Network twice already and still the same issue occurs. I have enabled the option, Maximise Compatibility.

Update to ipadOS 16.1 which is now available.

On the Update screen scroll to the bottom of the screen to see ipadOS 16.1 since it is an UPGRADE not an update.

Another update:

Speed from iPhone hotspot to iPad was 0.24 mbps download / 0.56 upload.

Speed from wifi to iPad was 118.4 mbps download / 26.2 upload.

I think this would rule out any issues with the iPad simply not being able to receive a signal.

The update doesn’t seem to have changed the speed (download: 0.24 mbps, upload: 0.56 mbps) but thank you for the suggestion.
