Paste text without formatting on iPhone

I never want text fonts or sizes retained in the text when cutting and pasting between files and apps. How do I paste text and have the formatting stripped on an iPhone?

iPhone XR, iOS 16

Hello Teedot75,

We understand that you do not want to keep the text fonts or sizes when cut, copying and pasting between files and apps, on your iPhone. At this time, there is not a feature that allows you to remove the format. However, you may experience this behavior, for example, when you copy and paste text from the Notes app to the Message app. The font is changed in the Message app because the format is not compatible in the Message app.

We highly encourage you to submit your feedback abut this feature to Apple. Follow the link to send it to them directly:
