Buzzing with 35W Power Adapter

The 35W Dual USB-C Port Power Adapter that came with my M2 MacBook Air makes a buzzing sound every time it is plugged in and charging any device. I’ve used the MagSafe 3 cord, another USB-C to USB-C cord but it still buzzes when it is charging only 1 device.

  • I’ve tried my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Air and they all make the power adapter buzz
  • I’be tried multiple outlets in my house with the same experience

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Seems you have a faulty cable and/or power brick. So, contact Apple Support, requesting that they swap both out.

  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)
