Numbers app problem
How can I import cell data from other spreadsheets that are not part of the current spreadsheet? This only requires a simple process in Microsoft Office but apparently not possible in Numbers
iPad Pro, iPadOS 16

"apparently not possible in Numbers"
Not just "apparently." Numbers cannot 'import' data from other Numbers documents.
You can bring the information in from another document using copy/paste, or with the assistance of an AppleScript written for that purpose.
To express your want for this ability to be added to Numbers for iOS/iPodOS, make a feature request using this Feedback Page: Feedback - Numbers for iOS and iPadOS - Apple

Copy-paste works really well in many situations.
Links between documents such as Excel allows can be fragile, breaking when a document is moved within the file system.
Note that Numbers allows you to easily work with multiple tables on each sheet, giving more options than Excel to keep your all your work within a single, self-contained document.

Numbers does not have links to cells in other documents like Excel does.
