Updates take too much storage?

Do you guys think one day the updates will take too much storage? I know right now 7.54gb vs 64gb isn’t a lot but if a person keeps updating will it slowly fill up to too much? I know this probably is a dumb question so I’m sorry. Just like to ask people who understand smart phones, updates, and storage better than me about this stuff. If you’re able to explain if it will take up too much space years away that would be great ☺️❤️

That will not happen. The space on your iPhone will not fill up with update files over the years if you keep updating. This is because the old update file, including the iOS is deleted and replaced with the new. This cycle will continue.
