iPad and Nikon D2X

Is it possible to use the wireless Wi-Fi transmitter on the Nikon D2X (Wireless transmitter WT-2A) to send images taken on the camera to view on the iPad? I'd like a bigger screen for clients to view images as they are shot.

Just use the camera connection kit. It imports full size. You will now have them in the Photo app in full res. If you want to create slideshows of only certain pics, get Photo Sort and make whatever slide shows you want. Just be careful with image size as it bogs down with a bunch of 6 Meg pics in one folder.

In between the Photo app and Photo Sort I use PhotoGene for simple crops and edits but it can resize as well.

Or, use AirSharing, more of a pain on large images than Photo Sort.

If you're a pro, which I'm not, get a laptop. For pics, it makes life infinitely simpler.

Thanks Monty, I've looked into that solution a bit, but the D2X doesn't take a Eye-Fi card as much as I can tell, and from what I've read the adapters for the Eye-Fi to fit in a D2X are not recommended as they may not work or severely decrease the Wi-Fi range.

I might be able to use the Wi-Fi at work to send the images from camera to iPad with the shuttersnitch app installed on the ipad.

Hi, yes this is possible and works wonderfully. Nikon D2Xs with WT2-a and on the Ipad SchutterSnitch. Camera via FTP (ad hoc) to connect the iPad. and then you can directly see in the pictures on the iPad. The images then get on the Mac easy to export and then join other location (Bonjour) with the Mac. Is very fast and all images are then on the Mac and Ipad.

For me, it works super.
