Time Machine drive ejected after update

I upgraded to Ventura yesterday. Now every time there is a Time Machine update, I get the "Disk not ejected properly" error. Now what is odd, sometimes the disk has been ejected, sometimes not. Sometimes it will show the error and do another backup in an hour, sometimes not.

I would suggest file a bug report /submit your Apple Feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

Shut down and a reboot the machine would be fundemental...

You can always try a different port, a different cable, a different drive , run Disk Utility first aid...

and compare your results.

Same here - upgraded my 3 systems to Ventura yesterday. Now, when Time Machine finishes, I get an alert that the drive "Backups of <system name>" was not ejected properly. The backup target is a directory on a remote (also Ventura) Mac. (Oddly, there's no drive nor target backup directory of that name...I can only assume it refers to the <system name>.sparsebundle file).
