Hi,

Do you mean the HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn? If so, the latest driver (Aug 18, 2022) from the HP support site appears to be for macOS 12 Monterey. No Ventura drivers yet.

If necessary, you could perhaps try a Monterey driver even for Ventura, It may or may not open/install/work. A printing system reset (link below) may be required between tests. As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything. Software conflicts cannot be ruled out.

Also, this seems to be an early AirPrint printer model. It was listed in a very old (February 13, 2012) iOS: AirPrint 101 Apple article (HT4356), but is not mentioned in the latest About AirPrint - Apple Support. It may be an old firmware/AirPrint version (possibly with limitations in connection with modern Macs/iPhones/iPads).

Otherwise, generally speaking, an AirPrint printer can be used without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the macOS computer are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). AirPrint works with wireless (Wi-Fi) or wired (Ethernet) network connections. A printer with an Ethernet port could be connected to one of the LAN ports of the Wi-Fi router.
