I've just updated my watch twice in 3 days and now it pings constantly when fully chsrged. anyone else having this problem?

No, mine does not do that.
Did you already force restart it after the update?
To do that, press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side Button simultaneously for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.
Are you using the charging device and that came with the Apple Watch, and the Apple charger?
