Hi there AppleDiscussMark,

Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.

We understand you're unable to use Ping My Watch feature of iOS 17.

Make sure you're following the steps here:

Ping your Apple Watch

You can use your iPhone with iOS 17 to help you find your Apple Watch if it’s nearby.

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap Control Center, swipe down, then tap the Add button next to Ping My Watch.
3. When you want to ping your Apple Watch, swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone to open Control Center, then tap the Ping Apple Watch button.
Note: If you have more than one Apple Watch, the sound will play on the watch that’s selected in All Watches in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
You can also use Find My to play a sound on your Apple Watch.
See Locate your Apple Watch and the Apple Support article If your Apple Watch is lost or stolen.

That should help. Let us know if you have any questions.

Take care.

The “Ping My Watch” does show up to select. I wiped and reloaded Watch and it had no impact?

Have you perhaps removed that button?

Remove Control Center buttons

You can remove the buttons in Control Center by following these steps:

  1. Press the side button to open Control Center.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of Control Center, then tap Edit.
  3. Tap  in the corner of the button you want to remove.
  4. Tap Done when you’re finished.

To restore a button you’ve removed, open Control Center, tap Edit, then tap  in the corner of the button you want to restore. Tap Done when you’re finished.

Of course, no worries, pic attached

Thanks. And it is not likely to have been so easy....

What country/region is your phone set to? In what country did you buy the phone? I can't find anything that indicates this is a region-restricted feature but I may have missed it.

Have you checked Settings>Screen Time to make sure you don't have anything restricted? Is it a standard wath set up? Or is the watch set up for someone in your family to use who doesn't have an iPhone?

I really can't think of anything to do other than the generic troubleshooting options: restore your phone from a back up, restore the phone to factory settings, reset all settings.
