Hi there AppleDiscussMark,
Thank you for posting to Apple Support Communities.
We understand you're unable to use Ping My Watch feature of iOS 17.
Make sure you're following the steps here:
Ping your Apple Watch
You can use your iPhone with iOS 17 to help you find your Apple Watch if it’s nearby.
1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
2. Tap Control Center, swipe down, then tapnext to Ping My Watch.
3. When you want to ping your Apple Watch, swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone to open Control Center, then tap.
Note: If you have more than one Apple Watch, the sound will play on the watch that’s selected in All Watches in the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.
You can also use Find My to play a sound on your Apple Watch.
See Locate your Apple Watch and the Apple Support article If your Apple Watch is lost or stolen.
Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
That should help. Let us know if you have any questions.
Take care.

Hello AppleDiscussMark,
Which iPhone model and iOS version do you have installed? We ask because iOS 17 is required.
Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Thanks.

The “Ping My Watch” does show up to select. I wiped and reloaded Watch and it had no impact?
Have you perhaps removed that button?
Remove Control Center buttons
You can remove the buttons in Control Center by following these steps:
To restore a button you’ve removed, open Control Center, tap Edit, then tap
in the corner of the button you want to restore. Tap Done when you’re finished.
Restarting my iPhone did the trick!
I guess it didn’t appear for me since I just paired my phone with my new Apple Watch. Happy it finally appeared!

Thanks. And it is not likely to have been so easy....
What country/region is your phone set to? In what country did you buy the phone? I can't find anything that indicates this is a region-restricted feature but I may have missed it.
Have you checked Settings>Screen Time to make sure you don't have anything restricted? Is it a standard wath set up? Or is the watch set up for someone in your family to use who doesn't have an iPhone?
I really can't think of anything to do other than the generic troubleshooting options: restore your phone from a back up, restore the phone to factory settings, reset all settings.
That's weird. You're also missing the "Show Home Controls" toggle. I'm not trying to be difficult but can you go to Settings>General>About and verify that you really are running iOS 17.1.1.
Phone and watch were both purchased in the US (Apple Watch Series 9, I just received today). Region for iPhone shows as United States.
Apple Watch is up to date with watchOS 10.1.1
Nothing out of the ordinary in Screen Time settings.
I’ll try and restart my phone to see if that does anything, I’d prefer not resetting to factory settings if I can help it lol

Hello! I have an iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 17.1.1 and am also unable to locate ”Ping My Watch”
Any suggestions?

Glad to hear it was that simple! No, resetting settings is .... not fun.
