neat feature being able to schedule an outgoing email in mail app in both mac os ventura and ios 16, only they need to be online a time of sending :(
isn't it possible to schedule an outgoing email in icloud mail which of course is online all the time?

Thanks Peder. As far as I know you won't find it in the iCloud version of Mail. This is a new feature for macOS Ventura and iOS 16. In fact, before your question I'd never used it in iOS so I've just found out a new thing today. Thanks. I do most of my emailing on my iMac - which does not support Ventura.
They need to be on the Internet, yes, just as Mail needs to be on the Internet when you send mail normally. What is required though is that your Mac is not shutdown. Scheduled sending will work if your Mac is asleep, but obviously is your Mac isn't running it can't function.
I couldn't find a description in Apple's support documents, but AppleInsider has this article describing how it works.

perhaps i didn't make myself fully clear; i am aware how the scheduling works, i just want to set it up in icloud (in safari) so that i will be able to shut my mac down (take it offline).
i just can't find the feature there?
