You can Command drag off menu items if that is your issue...

Not on my 14" Macbook Pro.

Is this another problem related to the limited number of apps shown on the menu bar? Do I have to get rid of other app icons to see the clock?

If so, why can I dump some icons and not others? The shortcuts icon, for one, is persistent; drag it out, it pops back. So, for now, no clock.

The clock in the menu bar is the same as it has always been; is NOT the same as the new Clock application, which is similar to the Clock app in iOS.

So I am not really sure what you are asking. Are you not seeing the clock at the extreme right of your menu bar? That is probably due to your having "Focus" activated (again, nothing to do with the Clock application).

Please clarify.

The new Clock app does not show in the Menu Bar. It is a stand alone application.

Go to the System/Control Center and click on the Advanced button opposite the Clock. Then set it up to show in the menu bar.

The Clock app is not added to the dock by default but you can drag it onto it, or pin it to it in different ways.

1. Drag the icon from the Application folder in Finder to an area on the left side of the dock.
2. Drag the icon from the Launchpad to an area on the left side of the dock.
3. Open the Clock app, and then right click on the icon on the dock that appears, and click on Options->Keep on dock.
