My phone won’t work

y iphone 13 will not turn off, & I can’t open any apps, not even settings. It won’t let me use buttons on the side to force a shutdown either. I can still swipe from screen to screen, just can’t open anything...

A Forced restart if done exactly as below will correct that

Force restart iPhone – Apple Support (UK)

if that does not help you will need apples help

You don't want to force a shutdown. You want to force a restart.

Follow the instructions very carefully, especially the part about continuing to hold down the power button until the Apple logo appears.....(do not release the button when you see the slider, keep holding the power button)......
