Apple TV screen saver—my photos

I have a personal album w/ 3000 photos that I wish to randomize as my Apple TV screensaver. However, the TV seems to display only a few hundred of those pictures, never showing many of the older ones. Is there a limit to how many photos will display? If so, what is the limit? Is there a workaround?

The Apple TV will cache photos to be used for the screensaver, only a select amount will be used (typically up to 200). In order to use a new batch it will have to be setup again so the previous allotment can be purged. In order to have a large album shuffled and displayed it is best to use the slideshow function.
