It worked well for me for digitalizing VHS tapes with Media Express - but i was never able to bring it to import directly to Final Cut Pro.
Now it doesn't work anymore at all - Apple made me aware of this with a window stating, that Media Express will not work after an update, but anyway: is there any help? It's a cool very strong machine...

Yes, I think that keeping an older OS around is probably the only solution.
BlackMagic are the only ones who could update their software to support their device on the new OS.
It does not sound like they plan to do that.

yes - and the support say that Ventura is too new to have a solution (....apple announced long before, it will not work with ventura) and they hove no idea what's in the pipeline....should i trash the machine??
so work around for me now i just try is secnd partition on macpro with older os.....
Media Express and the Studio Mini being BlackMagic products, did you try asking them?
Maybe an update to the software is necessary for it to work on your OS - which is it, by the way?
BlackMagic advertise it as working on "Monterey or Later" so couldn't you raise the issue with them or ask for a refund or compensation?
