Not getting notification until app is opened

Wht am i not receiving notifications until i open the apps. Specifically whatsapp, Instagram and Telegram. I have checked notification settings and also restarted my phone, updated my phone but the problem remains the same.

Have you enabled Scheduled Summary?

Settings > Notifications > [Select the App that you are having trouble receiving immediate notifications]
