Apple Maps turn by turn directions aren’t in English.

What language is her iPhone set to? This may help us determine if the issue is related to language settings on the phone.

1. Also try this: Open “Settings” and go to “Maps”
2. Look under “Maps Labels” flip “Always English” to OFF.
3. Exit out of Settings and restart your phone and launch Map again

Normally the voice of the turn-by-turn directions is dictated by the Siri language chosen.

Go to Settings >Siri & Search > Language, and choose your preferred language. Then below that you can choose the Siri Voice you would like.

If that doesn't resolve your issue with the language spoken for Maps, then your iPhone isn't behaving as expected and you should contact Apple Support for help:

Thank you for that update. One more thing to check. Go to Settings > Maps > Map Labels. Make sure that it is turned on.

If it is already turned on, turn it off. Restart your iPhone and then turn it back on and test.

If the instructions are still in another language, contact Apple Support for additional assistance.
