My series 2 watch keeps shutting off randomly, even when it has 97% battery. I tried unpairing and paring several times and resetting to factory settings, changed the settings, and it still shuts off randomly. It will take some time to reboot with the apple image on screen. It particularly doesn’t like the work out function, this seems to turn off the watch immediately even if it’s at 100% charge.

If your Apple Watch Series 2 is shutting down unexpectedly, it could be time to have it inspected and serviced. Since it is an older model of Apple Watch, the battery is most likely not performing optimally anymore.
