on the iPhone 14 Pro max the screen seems to go into a sleep mode for a while before the screen completely turns off. Is this using up my battery?

How if possible does the screen (Clock) stay on all the time like a normal bedside clock? Does Motion to Wake need to be turned off for clock to stay on all the time? Is it made to stay on all the time? I called apple support and they had no idea how it is suppose to work. All the documents are not clear.

That's the new Always on display. It's designed not to affect battery life.
