iOS 16 won't rotate Maps app 180º on an iPhone SE

For people who need their iPhone plugged in and setting 180º upright, this feature deletion is frustrating.

Understood. Currently, rotating the Maps app to be upside down in the way you described is not possible. You can leave feedback about this here: Product Feedback - Apple.

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities. We understand that Maps isn't rotating on your iPhone SE.

Do you have rotation lock enabled? This could be preventing your screen from rotating in Maps: Rotate the screen on your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support

Why didn't anyone tell us about this change?? It is very frustrating to one day have the Map rotate 180 degrees and then the next day not.

Who decided to make this change, anyway??

very frustrating! Whose great idea was that? Been using apple products since the performa days. But sometimes apple is too smart by 1/2

Hello bbesspeet,

thank you for your reply. The Maps app will rotate, but only 90° to landscape. It will not rotate 180° so I can place the phone upside down when viewing the Map app.
