Answer: You can't, Newer iPads are made for using it with GESTURES, iPads now that dont have a TouchID hoe button it changed to power button, Like the Android Phones, You will need to adapt since if you purchased the iPad you cant go back.
To clarify, put a finger anywhere along the bottom edge of the iPad’s screen and swipe up about 1/3 way up the screen to return to the Home screen

The new gestures - exactly what I needed, much obliged. The skimpy 2-page guide sheet basically tells you nothing. They're getting a little too cryptic & overly clever with it I think. Get back to basics, Apple.
This is so annoying the way they changed it. Now I'm stuck in Settings and can't get out. What gestures do I use to return Home?
