mac superdrive on a windows 11 laptop
I want to use my mac superdrive also on a windows 11 laptop.
What driver do i need? I tried Bootcamp 5.2 but it was refused as 'not suitable for this computer' has anyone experience with this?

Windows 11 is not officially supported. I'm not sure if will work, but you can try the same steps for Windows 10.
First (in Windows), download the latest Boot Camp Support Software. You'll get an archive (.zip) file. If not automatically done, right-click it and select "Extract All". Find ONLY the file named "AppleODDInstaller64.exe" in the 'Drivers' folder and double-click it. It may or may not work with Windows 11.
Just plugged my Superdrive into a Windows 11 PC and it works fine with no extra drivers. Tis slow though, just 1 x speed so you have to be patient.
I downloaded 3 different versions of Bootcamp, the latest being 5.2 but all of them were rejected as 'this program is not suitable for this computer'
When I connect the drive, it is visible but refuse to take a cd.
It seems that the Mac Superdrive is incompatible with Windows 11.
Thanks anyways
I would assume it would work without any extra software
the optical dics software are generic drivers one size fit all which is why I just connected
my usb asus blueray burner to my mac mini and it worked without any software installed
Of course I tried that as well but nogo.
As explained, I can see the drive on the win 11 laptop but it refuses to take a cd.
This implies that the correct driver is not evident.
It seems that there is no experience regarding this subject and I may as well decide that the drive is not compatible with win 11.
Thanks anyways
