HomeKit automations not working after installing iOS 16

As seen in to create an automation Create scenes and automations with the Home app:

"If you set up a home hub, you can trigger an accessory or scene based on the time of day, your location, sensor detection, and more.reate an automation that triggers your "I'm Here" scene when someone in your family arrives home. Or have all of the lights in a room turn on when a motion sensor detects movement. "

In this case follow Set up your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, or iPad as a home hub:

"If your home hub isn't working as expected

1. Check that your HomePod, HomePod mini, Apple TV, or iPad is up to date. 
2. Make sure that the user signed in to iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV is the primary Home app user, and not an invited user. 
3. Turn on iCloud Keychain and two-factor authentication for your Apple ID.
4. Check that the device that you set up as a home hub is in your home, connected to your home Wi-Fi network, and powered on."

Well, my iPhone 12 Pro runs iOS 16.3.1, my AppleTV 4K runs 16.3.2, all Philips Hue lights and virtually all the homekit devices in my Home are up to date. Still, half of my automations DOES NOT WORK! "Turn lights on sunset" works, while "turn lights off at sunrise" does not. Also, automations set to run at a specified time do not trigger.

I have tried literally everything I found on the web, forcing updates on everything, removing and recreating problematic automations, even deleting Home App from the iPhone and reinstalling again. Of course I set everything according to the suggestion in this thread and also many others. Nothing seems to help, it is still bugged. All automations work flawlessly in Philips Hue app, but not in the Home app.

It would be really nice if Apple could finally address this issue and solve it!

Same thing happened to me after updating to iOS16. I had read that you had to delete your whole home settings and reinstall everything. I did that. About a day ago, I had a power outage and it disconnected all my home devices. All my automations are again not working. Apple, do your job please!

Help … Mine stopped working months ago. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Have to use Alexa to turn on and off lights. I have smart plugs. Automation option does not display when + (add) is selected!

I just installed a smart plug but automations does not come up when I hit the plus sign, and yes, I do have share my location on. Help please

I have the same trouble. Close blind at sunset works; open blind at sunrise does not.
