iPod classic stuck in restore mode on Mac

I recently got an iPod classic 6th gen (late 2009), plugged it in to my Macbook and everything was normal, able to sync music using Finder. But after I restored it, everything was wiped, which is what I wanted, it’s recognised by Finder but couldnt do any syncing, it’s just like a normal usb drive (see photo below)

Then I tried it with another mac:

So I tried restoring again and it’s stuck for hours:

(not my photo)

Anyone knows what’s the problem here? The hard drive is still in good state though

Try Finder > Preferences > Sidebar > CDs, DVDs and iOS Devices.

Stats look good. You can try the DFU restore method, or reformat, or restore in Windows. Details for DFU restore can be found in Corrupt iPod Classic - Apple Community.
