iPadOS 16 broke HDR in p3?

Over the past few years I have graded many short films in P3 color space and ST.2084 PQ. They looked amazing in the iPad and even better on the M1 iPad pro. Unfortunately, after upgrading to iPadOS 16, all of those films are completely white. I was able to change the last project I still had the timeline for from P3 to rec2020 color space, render again, and it works. After a lot of testing it seems HDR in P3 color space is broken.

DCI P3 PQ (11-16-1) worked in iPadOS 15, broken in 16

BT.2020 PQ (9-16-9) works in iPadOS 16

Can I get P3 HDR back?!

iPad Pro, 12.9-inch, 6th Gen, Cell 5G
