Lost everything at Genius Bar

How to recover photos from factory reset with no iCloud backup. I never really made an iCloud or backed up any of my information on my iPhone on my iCloud but I went to the Genius Bar because my phone was having some bugs and since I didn’t have an iCloud back up they asked me to make one so I did with them but they did it wrong and the iCloud back up did not backup any of my information, they even mentioned that normally a back up creation takes a long time but this time it took only 10 minutes which they said sounded weird and I thought it sound weird but they didn’t do any further investigation. They proceeded to hard reset or factory reset my phone without confirming if the back up was actually done. Upon turning on the phone and adding my iCloud information thinking that they had done this correctly , I learned that all of my messages my pictures my emails everything was gone this happened today at around six and I was wondering if there’s any way to recover any of that information I’ve lost all of my stuff

Finding Lost Photos:

If you cannot upload data, then it is gone, if not backed up. So, look in a place would would have backed it up. Elsewise, it is gone. For example, here is how you would troubleshoot Photos and Videos:

Locating Lost Photos and Videos:

I. Enable Photos and Contacts in iCloud:

On the iPhones, enable Contacts in iCloud.

On the iPhone:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
  3. Tap: iCloud
  4. Tap: Photos (so that it is green)
  5. Tap: Contacts (so that it is green)

II. Troubleshooting Deleted Photos:

Three Things to Try:

A. Start here: If you're Missing Photos or Videos in the Photos App - Apple Support

B. Check iCloud, Directly:

Go here, and see if they reside in iCloudhttps://www.icloud.com/photos

C. Where Else to Check:

  1. PC
  2. PDA
  3. eMail
  4. Mac Device
  5. Cloud Storage
  6. Android Phone
  7. USB Flash Drive
  8. External Hard drive
  9. Secure Digital Card
  10. Compact Flash Card

you are solely responsible for your data and photos.

Any backups should have been made by you and verified before you went to the Genius Bar.

If you failed to backup what are supposedly important pictures, they are gone.
