Apple Ultra GPS distance accuracy

Just curious as to Ultra users’ experience of GPS accuracy. I’ve done a few five mile runs using the Ultra alongside my Garmin and find that there have been some considerable discrepancies between the two in terms of recorded distance. Indeed, on some runs the difference has gone up to 0.20. Yesterday, for example, the Fenix 7 recorded 5.23, while the Ultra finished at 5.10.

I previously used an Apple Series 7 and the largest difference I ever had between the two watches was 0.04, which is obviously within the bounds of acceptable difference. I’ve contacted Apple and have gone through the recalibration/reset processes, but things don’t really seem to have improved. They’ve asked me to record a few more runs before they pass the data on to their engineers.

Anyway, just wondered what other people’s experiences were like.
